What are European or International Satellite dishes?

So, what is a satellite dish? Well, as of today there are thousands of satellites orbiting the earth which provide us with the ability to watch TV, make phone calls and to study the universe. In order to have a television signal, it is necessary to be able to receive these satellite signals which are being directed to your country.

This can be done with the help of a satellite dish installed outside your house which can allow your TV set to pick up the signal of the television programmes. However, with most standard satellite dishes in the UK, you can expect to find that you are primarily able to access English shows - this is because European TV and other global channels are now broadcast from different satellites that can be picked up by the realignment of your current dish or with the installation of a larger European or international satellite dish.

How does our European satellite dish installation process work?

Our team will send out our engineers to undertake a site survey and provide you with a quote of our supply and installation fees. In most cases, it will be possible to install your foreign satellite dish on the day as our vehicles are fully equipped.

However, please be aware that some European and international satellites will require a bigger dish than regular installs such as Arab SAT and Nile SAT, potentially meaning that a second visit may be necessary.

There are numerous European and International satellites to connect to, and they vary in their selections of ‘free-to-air’ TV channels (which only require for you to pay for your TV License to view), while premium foreign subscription television channels and encrypted channels will require a decryption card to be unlocked and your receiver will need a CAM.
